7th Grade SS – Week of August 16
We will begin this week in class by interpreting the thematic maps that students created last week. We will examine the maps to determine patterns of travel, and try to interpret why these patterns occur. We will also look for examples of countries that fall outside of regional patterns, and try to figure out why this might be.
As the week moves on, students will continue their introductory geography weeks by learning about different landforms. Students will be using their personal interests to make a map of an island country. They will be introduced to various landforms and will be expected to use these landforms in the island maps they create.
